Frank Salazar was recently named as the national developmental coach of the year for tennis

Frank Salazar, Director of High Performance at the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC), was recognized as the 2008 Developmental Coach of the Year for Tennis by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). As Co-Director at JTCC, the USTA’s first certified regional training center, Salazar supervises the development of a number of up and coming American tennis players in the Washington, DC area. Frank is currently coaching two of the top junior players in the world. He has mentored these two outstanding young athletes since they were eight years old, and today their accomplishments include national championships, participation on the world champion United States Junior Davis Cup Team, and an Orange Bowl 16U title.
As the 2008 award winner for tennis, Frank becomes a nominee for the USOC's Developmental Coach of the Year for all sports.
