At the Champions Center, our youngsters commit to a demanding routine of on-court instruction, match play, physical fitness training, academic studies, and tournament travel. In addition to encouraging their joy for the sport of tennis, we strive to help each student develop self-esteem, perseverance, decision-making skills, the ability to focus on goals, and a commitment to high standards.
The Champions Center is a team environment. Each student-athlete and each coach is a key member of the team. They practice together, compete together, and travel together. Because tennis can be an isolating sport, it is important that our student-athletes feel camaraderie while they train at the Champions Center as well as when they compete in tournaments. Support and encouragement from peers and training partners is a core value of the Champions Center.
Students currently training at the Champions Center include residents of Prince George's County, MD, Montgomery County, MD, Washington, DC, Northern VA, as well as Ghana, Morocco, Russia, and Belarus.
